110 Acres Of Poppy Cultivation Destroyed In Manipur’s Ukhrul District

Imphal, Dec 13: A total of 110 acres of illegal poppy cultivation were destroyed in Manipur’s Ukhrul district on Thursday. The operation was conducted by a joint team comprising the district police, Forest Department, Assam Rifles, and the district administration in the Khamasom hill area.

During the operation, eight huts found in the fields were also burned down. This action is part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal drug cultivation in the region.
