Assam Rifles carried out an extensive Area Domination Patrol (ADP) and search operation in the Narayanpur, Madhopur, and Gotaikhal areas of Jiribam District. The operation was aimed at bolstering security and ensuring the safety of local residents.
The operation involved the deployment of an Explosive Detection (ED) dog to assist in identifying potential threats, ensuring the safety of both troops and civilians. A significant outcome was the clearing of a road blockade in Gotaikhal, which had been hindering movement in the area, restoring normalcy for the local population.
Additionally, an unauthorized structure in Gotaikhal was dismantled to prevent its misuse for illegal activities. The operation was executed with professionalism and precision, without any incidents, and was well-received by the local community for enhancing their safety and security.
In a separate operation on December 8, Assam Rifles, in coordination with Manipur Police and other security forces, recovered 14 weapons, ammunition, and warlike stores from Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Thoubal districts. The operation led to the seizure of a sniper rifle, two 9mm pistols, and other arms following intelligence-based operations.
