Two non-Manipuri individuals were shot dead Saturday evening in the Kakching district. The victims, who were reportedly returning to their rented accommodation, were part of a group of five workers hired for the construction of a house at the Keirak area.

The deceased were identified as Sunalal Kumar (18) and Dasharat Kumar (17), both residents of Rajwahi village in the Yadavpur police station area of Bihar’s Gopalganj district.

According to local sources, the attack occurred on a quiet stretch of road as the workers made their way back after completing their day’s work.

Police have launched an intensive search operation to apprehend the culprits. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the killings and are exploring multiple angles.
