Guwahati, Dec 16: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday alleged that a Member of Parliament (MP) from the state has ties to US-based billionaire George Soros. The accusation comes amid the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) broader claims that the Congress leadership is collaborating with Soros to destabilize India.

Sarma refrained from naming the MP or their political affiliation, leaving the matter open to speculation. His statement has stirred political controversy in Assam, with the BJP calling for further investigation into the alleged links.
