Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has emphasized the strong bond between India and Bhutan, highlighting their shared civilizational heritage.
During his visit to Bhutan, CM Sarma launched the #AdvantageAssam 2.0 Roadshow from Thimphu, showcasing Assam’s growth in various sectors and its potential as a driver of the Act East Policy.
CM Sarma also attended a meeting with Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, where they discussed the upcoming investor summit, Advantage Assam 2.0. The summit aims to promote trade and investment partnerships, with a focus on infrastructure development and renewable energy.
The Chief Minister noted that Assam and Bhutan share a long-standing relationship, nurtured through cultural, historical, and economic exchanges. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay for his presence at the last edition of Advantage Assam and extended an invitation for him to attend the upcoming summit.
