Two militants of the Kanglei Communist Party (People’s War Group) [KCP (PWG)] were arrested by Manipur Police on December 16, 2024, in a targeted operation in the Kakching Ching Kakpham area.
The arrested militants have been identified as Lisham Premananda Meitei (45), alias Poirei, and James Ningthoujam (44). Authorities recovered three mobile phones and a four-wheeler vehicle from the suspects during the operation.
Investigations are ongoing to assess their involvement in insurgent activities and to obtain further details about their operations.
