Mizoram CM Chairs Project Monitoring Committee Meeting, Reviews Ongoing Projects

Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma today chaired the 4th General Body Meeting of the Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall.

The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the diligent efforts of the Project Monitoring Committee and urged them to continue preparing comprehensive reports on all ongoing projects.

During the meeting, a review of projects monitoring undertaken between September and November 2024 was conducted. The projects reviewed included:

1. Construction of Multipurpose Ground at High Field, Mc Donald Hill, Aizawl under Smart City Mission

2. Construction of Eklavya Model Residential School, Tlangnuam

3. Establishment of Brood Bank, Thenzawl under PMMSY

4. Widening & Improvement of road from Durtlang Leitan to Sihphir section of Aizawl – Durtlang – Lungdai – Kawnpui road under CRIF

The committee discussed the identified shortcomings in these projects, along with their progress, and deliberated on strategies to address these issues and ensure continued implementation.

Additionally, issues such as challenges faced in major civil construction works, delays caused by contractors, and the granting of extensions of time were also discussed. The committee explored various measures to enhance its operational effectiveness and ensure smoother execution of projects.
