Manipur: National Seminar On Inland Waterways And riverine culture Of Northeast India Begins

A two-day National Seminar on “Inland Waterways and Riverine Culture of Northeast India” commenced today at the Department of Economics, Manipur University. The event is being jointly organized by the Department of Economics, Manipur University; Manipur Seva Samiti, Imphal; Intellectual Forum of North East Manipur; and the Department of Social Work, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, and Dr. RK Ranjan Singh, former Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education.

Over 50 research papers covering various aspects of riverine culture and inland waterways are scheduled to be presented during the seminar, making it a significant academic gathering for experts and scholars in the field.
