A heartfelt tribute was paid to late NK Sanajaoba, a trailblazing journalist and multifaceted personality, on his 88th birth anniversary, observed today at Lamyanba Pakhang Sanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal East.
NK Sanajaoba, renowned for his fearless investigative journalism, served as the editor of Lamyanba Journal. Writing under the pseudonym “Thengra” in his column Yukhal Marumda, he exposed corruption and malpractices within government departments, earning widespread respect for his integrity and dedication to truth.
Prominent personalities, including former UNLF leader RK Sanayaima, also known as Meghen, attended the commemorative event and participated in a floral tribute ceremony. Addressing the media, Sanayaima described Sanajaoba as “a revolutionary, visionary leader, journalist, and devoted social worker.”
“Tamo NK Sanajaoba was a multifaceted leader whose unwavering integrity and commitment to the welfare of the people remain an inspiration. His resilience and dedication to justice are lessons for the younger generation,” said Sanayaima.
