Manipur Police Arrest KCP (PWG) Member involved In Extortion Activities

Manipur Police arrested an active member of the Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) on Tuesday. The individual, identified as Irom Basker Singh (30), was apprehended from Mantripukhri Bazar near Bangali Crossing in Imphal East District.

Police reported that the accused was involved in extortion activities targeting the general public and local businessmen.

During the operation, one 9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with three live rounds, one mobile handset, one ATM card, two money receipts of KCP (PWG), a two-wheeler vehicle and other incriminating articles were seized from his possession.

Authorities are conducting further investigations to uncover more details about the accused’s activities and associates. Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help maintain peace and order in the state.
