A tense standoff between security forces and protestors in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district has left multiple people injured, including one woman and several male protestors, who are reported to be in critical condition.
Video surfaced on social media shows armed miscreants with sophisticated firearms, dressed in uniform-like attire, raising concerns about their identity and intent.
Sources said the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kangpokpi district was also reportedly injured during the confrontation. The clashes erupted amid ongoing unrest in the area, with protesters blocking the national highway, causing widespread disruption to transport and communication.
