Central Government Approves Tripura’s New State Emblem, Announces CM Dr Manik Saha

Agartala, January 08, 2025: The Central Government has approved the new state emblem for Tripura, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha announced on social media today. The emblem, which incorporates the map of Tripura and the Ashoka Pillar on a saffron background, was submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs on October 28 for approval.

Sharing the news, Chief Minister Dr Saha wrote, “As per the decision of the state government, the following emblem has been approved by the Central Government for use as the state emblem/logo of the Tripura Government.”

The Chief Minister expressed optimism about the significance of the newly approved emblem. “This special logo, approved by the Union Home Ministry, will play an important role in highlighting the rich culture and history of our state,” he added.

The approval marks a milestone for the state, as the emblem symbolizes Tripura’s heritage and aspirations. Officials have expressed hope that the new logo will strengthen the state’s identity on a national and international stage.
