Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Friday distributed certificates to 28 candidates trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at his Secretariat.
The initiative, undertaken by the Manipur Seva Samiti and the Humanism Foundation, aims to empower displaced individuals from Bishnupur and Imphal East districts with employable skills under the CSCM component of PMKVY 4.0 Special Project.
To further support the trained candidates, the government will establish mushroom sheds at relief camps, providing the necessary infrastructure for skill application and sustainable livelihood generation.
Taking to X, the Chief Minister commended the candidates, saying, “I appreciate the dedication and hard work of the 28 candidates on successfully completing their training. This initiative will serve as a beacon of hope for the internally displaced.” The program highlights the state’s commitment to aiding IDPs by equipping them with skills and resources to rebuild their lives.
