Guwahati, Jan 11: The body of another labourer trapped in a coal mine in Assam’s Dima Hasao district was recovered on Saturday, following the mining tragedy earlier this week. This marks the second fatality, after the first body was retrieved on Wednesday.
The workers were among nine labourers trapped inside the Umrangsu coal mine on Monday, when a sudden gush of water flooded the quarry. Rescue operations are ongoing.
