Agartala, January 11, 2025: The Tripura government has intensified efforts to monitor the implementation and quality of its ongoing projects across departments. On Saturday, Abhishek Singh, IAS, Secretary to the state government conducted an extensive review of various developmental initiatives in the South District, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

During his visit, Singh personally inspected projects undertaken by the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA), the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department under the Public Works Department (PWD), and Urban Local Bodies under the Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission (TULM). Speaking to officials, Singh highlighted the importance of delivering projects that meet the expectations of the public.

While inspecting the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and solar power initiatives led by TREDA, the Secretary engaged directly with beneficiaries to understand their experiences and challenges. “It is essential to bridge the gap between policy and implementation. Hearing from the people who benefit from these projects helps us refine our approach,” Singh remarked.

The review session continued with a high-level meeting at the Belonia Circuit House, attended by state and district-level officers and project staff. Singh laid strong emphasis on maintaining quality standards and adhering to project timelines. “Delays and compromises in quality are unacceptable. Our priority is to ensure that every initiative positively impacts the lives of our citizens,” he asserted.

The Secretary also addressed complaints raised by locals during his inspection, instructing officials to take immediate action. “People’s grievances must be resolved swiftly. Accountability is the cornerstone of good governance,” Singh added.

This visit marks the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that development projects are not just completed but also meet the highest standards of efficiency and public satisfaction.
