In a major operation on January 22, 2025, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura intercepted four Mahindra Bolero pickup vehicles carrying 40 cattle destined for illegal smuggling to Bangladesh. The vehicles, valued at Rs. 40,60,000, were stopped in the Hrishyamukh area near the Border Out Post (BOP).

The successful intervention by BSF forces thwarted the smuggling attempt and ensured the cattle were recovered.
