Chief Minister N. Biren Singh expressed pride in the successful implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in Manipur, which has completed five years. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he acknowledged the critical roles played by officers and officials in the system’s implementation and management.
Certificates of Commendation were distributed to officials from the Home Department, Imphal West Police, and the Deputy Commissioner’s office at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Monday. Awards for other districts were presented during the Republic Day celebrations earlier this month.
“I appreciate the contributions of all the officials who have played pivotal roles in the implementation, monitoring, and management of the ILP system,” the Chief Minister stated.
The ILP system, aimed at regulating the entry of outsiders into the state, has been a significant step in preserving Manipur’s indigenous identity and resources.
