Nyeman Wangsu made history by winning the first gold medal for Arunachal Pradesh at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand on Thursday. The wushu star clinched the gold in the Daoshu event, marking her third consecutive gold at the National Games. Wangsu had previously won gold in the 36th and 37th editions of the Games, held in Gujarat and Goa, respectively.
In addition to Wangsu’s success, two other wushu players from Arunachal also earned medals. Chera Loku secured a silver in the Taijiquan event, while Yorna Rosni won a bronze in the Nandao event.
On the other hand, the Arunachal Pradesh men’s badminton team, making its debut at the National Games, was eliminated in the early stages of the competition, losing 1-4 to Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in the team event.
