Gangtok, Feb 3: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday flagged off a delegation of 30 Buddhist monks to participate in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela 2025. Accompanied by two officials from the Ecclesiastical Department, the group will travel to Prayagraj to take part in the historic event, scheduled to run from February 3 to February 7.
In his address, CM Tamang expressed pride in the delegation’s participation, highlighting that their involvement reflects Sikkim’s commitment to fostering interfaith harmony and showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage on a national platform.
