The Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps has successfully completed a month-long live-firing exercise with T-90 tanks in Sikkim, aimed at enhancing combat readiness and validating armoured warfare strategies in high-altitude terrain.

The exercise focused on testing advanced firepower, integrating drones for real-time surveillance, and conducting man-machine coordination drills to improve battle efficiency. It also emphasized the use of indigenous defense technologies, including locally manufactured ammunition and surveillance systems, in line with the Army’s self-reliance initiative.

A senior Army official stated that the exercise refined armoured warfare capabilities in challenging conditions, integrating T-90 tanks with aerial assets and advanced surveillance technology. The official also highlighted the Army’s commitment to ‘Aatmanirbharta’ by incorporating indigenous defense systems.

This training follows Exercise Devil Strike, which focused on airborne and special forces operations for rapid deployment and precision strikes. The consecutive high-intensity drills underscore the Indian Army’s integrated approach to modern warfare, ensuring coordination between armoured, airborne, and special forces for operational effectiveness.
