Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol visited Mokokchung on March 3, 2025, to review the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and assess key development projects. He chaired a meeting with department heads and civil society representatives at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall.
Mohol praised the state government and Mokokchung district administration for effectively executing government schemes despite geographical challenges. He reiterated the central government’s commitment to enhancing the living standards of all citizens and expressed readiness to collaborate with the state government for holistic development. Acknowledging the region’s natural beauty, he also thanked the people for their warm hospitality, stating that he felt at home despite it being his first visit.
As part of his visit, the minister met with officials from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and inspected key projects, including the proposed heliport at Ungma village and the Mini Dairy Cooperative Plant at Marepkong ward. He also visited the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Centre in Impur, along with Etiben Tower and Sungkotenem Park in Mopungchuket village.
