Agartala, March 21, 2025: In a significant relief for state government employees and pensioners, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday announced a three percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). The revised rates will come into effect from April 1.

“The state government has decided to provide a three percent increase in DA for employees and a three percent hike in DR for pensioners,” Dr. Saha said while making the announcement.

He further stated that the decision would put an additional financial burden of Rs 300 crore on the state exchequer. “Despite financial constraints, we are committed to the welfare of government employees and pensioners,” he added.

The move is expected to benefit thousands of employees and retirees across the state.
