BSF’s ADG Ravi Gandhi Interacts with Border Villagers, Reaffirms Commitment to Development

Agartala, March 27, 2025: Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General (ADG) of the Eastern Command, BSF held a meaningful interactive session with residents of Bhagalpur, Narsingarh, Bamutia, and Kalkalia villages at the Border Outpost (BOP) Bhagalpur on Wednesday.

Villagers lauded the BSF’s steadfast dedication to border security and community welfare. They highlighted the force’s proactive measures that have significantly reduced crime along the border. The community also expressed gratitude for improvements in connectivity, lighting in border areas, and gate management, which have considerably enhanced their quality of life.

During the session, Ravi Gandhi attentively addressed the villagers’ concerns and pledged BSF’s unwavering support in resolving key issues. He assured the audience that the BSF would collaborate with relevant authorities to address their needs effectively.

Underscoring the importance of essential services, the ADG announced that the BSF would organize educational and medical camps to extend healthcare and learning opportunities to the grassroots level. Encouraging local youth to consider careers in the BSF, Sh. Ravi Gandhi unveiled plans for specialized training programs and skill development initiatives to prepare aspiring candidates for recruitment.

This interaction highlighted the BSF’s commitment to fostering strong ties with border communities, positioning them as vital stakeholders in the development of remote border regions.
