In a follow-up operation after the arrest of three drug smugglers with 5.5 kg of suspected heroin powder on March 25, 2025, Manipur Police have seized an additional consignment of the contraband, officials said.

A Bolero vehicle, found abandoned in Imphal East, was picked up by the police. Upon inspection, authorities recovered 419 soap cases containing approximately 5 kg of suspected heroin powder from the vehicle.

With this latest seizure, a total of 880 soap cases containing around 10.5 kg of suspected heroin powder have been recovered in connection with the three arrested drug smugglers. The police have launched further investigations into the case.
