Itanagar, Mar 31: A mild earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Shi Yomi in Arunachal Pradesh at 2:38 PM on March 31, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported.
According to NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter located at latitude 28.88°N and longitude 94.34°E. The agency shared the details on its official ‘X’ handle.
This marks the second earthquake in the Northeast in the past four days. Earlier this week, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills district at 1:03 PM, occurring at a depth of 5 km.
