Agartala, March 31, 2025:  A man’s hanging body was found at Tripura’s Garjan Bagan near the Bagma Forest Office in Gomati district has caused a stir on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Shefal Som (45), a resident of the area.

According to sources, locals collecting firewood in the garden came across the lifeless body and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, law enforcement officials rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s son revealed that Shefal Som had returned home after work on Sunday but later left for a neighbor’s house to attend the Kali Puja. However, an argument erupted within the family, following which he stormed out of the house. When his wife and son failed to locate him, they grew increasingly concerned. Tragically, his body was discovered the following morning.

A case of unnatural death has been registered, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Shefal Som’s death. Authorities are examining all possible angles to determine whether foul play was involved.
