Manipur Police have arrested five active members of the banned KCP-Noyon group from different areas of Imphal East and Imphal West districts. The arrested individuals were allegedly involved in extortion and intimidation activities in the region.

The militants have been identified as Khoisnam Sanajaoba Singh (27) of Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai, Khoinaijam Robertson Singh (24) of Chingmeirong Maning Leikai, Soubam Rohit Singh (23) of Soibam Leikai, Leishangthem Naobi Singh (33) of Langol Game Village, and Khaidem Nongpoknganba Meitei (25) of Lamlai Mayai Leikai.

During the operation, security forces seized a 9mm pistol loaded with three live rounds, a pistol holster, three mobile phones, and two two-wheelers used by the accused. Police are continuing their investigation to uncover further links to the outfit’s activities.
