Kohima, Apr 7: In a step towards improving healthcare services for the Ao community, the Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Guwahati has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Excelcare Hospital in Guwahati.

Under the agreement, the hospital will ensure the availability and safe storage of blood to support emergency medical needs. The MoU also includes provisions for free ambulance services for Ao students residing within a 20-kilometre radius of Guwahati.

Furthermore, members of the Ao Naga community will receive a 15 percent discount on all outpatient and inpatient services at the hospital, offering financial relief in accessing healthcare.
