In a whirlwind visit to Sirpo water supply project site, some 5 KM from Rengging village, 14 KM from Pasighat, Pasighat East MLA, Kaling Moyong in the presence of his party leaders of BJP, Executive Engineer, Er. Mijing Dupak, AE Er. Kaling Taki and others laid the foundation stone for the mega drinking water project on Saturday.

The mega project named ‘augmentation of water supply at Pasighat township from Sirpo source Phase-I’ with a total estimated cost of 1956.58 lakhs being executed under Public Health Engineering Department and Water Supply Department if completed will solve the water scarcity of Smart City Pasighat.  The executing agency along with the firm working on the project assured to wrap up the project within 18 months.

While laying the foundation stone of the mega project, MLA Kaling Moyong said that, the entire population of Pasighat will be fed sufficient water by this mega project which has been under his priority list since 2014 where this was under his election agenda. “I am happy today that, funds were sanctioned and project started under the help of New Delhi for which I am thankful to central government including Chief Minister Pema Khandu”, added Moyong while expressing gratitude to all his party workers and well wishers for the continuous supports.

While, Er. Mijing Dupak, EE, PHED as executing agency reaffirmed that, the project will be completed within 18 months and the project once commissioned after completion will feed the water requirements of entire township of Pasighat.
