With an aim to make Nagaland, corruption free, Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) Nagaland on Sunday asked NSCN (IM) to clarify the reports on their alleged involvement in tax demands with regard to the National Highway 4 lane project between Dimapur and Kohima

In the report, it was informed that NSCN (IM) has demanding tax from the contractors involved in the 4-laning project. “If not whether rogue NSCN (IM) elements were involved in stopping the 4-lane works? If yes, It then NSCN (IM) should provide an appropriate reply within 3 days,” asked ACAUT.

The ACAUT further reminded that workmanship and quality should not be compromised at any cost.

ACAUT has also urged Nagaland government not to remain a mute spectator and requested the government to assure public that works will not be affected.

Meanwhile, the ACAUT reaffirmed that no entity shall be allowed to disturb the 4-laning of AH-1 under any circumstances. “Every citizen of Nagaland to safeguard and ensure that no hindrances are given for swift completion of the 4 lane road.”
