Arunachal Pradesh Sports and Youth Affairs director DK Dinglow on Wednesday handed over a cheque of Rs 2 Lakhs to Tsering Palmo in presence of Jt. Director Ramesh Linggi, Tapi Mra (APO) and KR Meetei in charge adventure cell, for her successful summit of Mt. Lhotse 8516 metre, which made her the first Indian women to scale the mighty Lhotse peak.

Palmo, the 1st Indian women to participate in the Everest marathon, the World highest Marathon in 2012 and stood 1st position, hails from Tashigoan Village, Upper Siang, Arunachal Pradesh.

Currently residing in Delhi, Palmo is determined to take up future adventure and mountaineering expeditions in Arunachal Himalayas.

Dinglow while praising Palmo’s achievement in mountaineering and adventure sports urged her to support the department for exploring the unexplored mountains of the state.
