Arunachal to Soon Have a Film and Animation Institute

A film and animation institute is going to be set up in Arunachal Pradesh. This was announced in the 2017 budget session of the state. The National Film and Television Institute and Animation (NFTIA) is a branch of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkatta, which was already running classes from a temporary campus. Chief Minister Pema Khandu is elated at the setting up of a Film institute in Arunachal Pradesh.

In this institute students will be imparted knowledge on editing, sound designing, cinematography apart from other important nuances related to film making and animation.

Khandu stated that to nurture the creative genes of the youths of the region, the government has introduced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swalamban Yojana. Now with the commence of a film institute like NFTIA it will be a huge opportunity for the creative people here.

The construction work is scheduled to start by from September this year. However the temporary campus will continue with full support from the authority.
