Apex Professional University (APU), one of the first private universities, in Arunachal Pradesh observes its sixth foundation day yesterday at university campus here in a simple yet a glittering function arranged by students and faculties by recalling the efforts and hurdles faced by the university in its journey so far.

The Apex Professional University based at Gumin Nagar, 2 Mile,  Pasighat in East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh was founded and established during the year 2013 after  Government of Arunachal Pradesh made a remarkable amendment in the education sector and invited private universities in this frontier state to bring better education in the doorstep of state’s student communities. APU today offers various courses under four departments like School of law and juridical sciences, School of education & social sciences, School of Health and Allied sciences and Institute of research and innovation.

“The university has total of 283 enrolled students with total teaching and non-teaching faculties and staffs of 47 who are working hard to give a parallel and high quality education to the students of this border state at par with the best universities of the country”, said Acharya Dhanwant Singh in a message.

Many students have expressed their gratitude to the university for offering courses like integrated B.A. L.L.B, Bachelor of Law (LLB), Master of Law (LLM) and other courses in the doorstep of students which were not offered in state’s lone university. “If these courses were not offered by APU here in the state, we would have required to go to outside the state to obtain the same degrees by incurring huge financial involvement which is not possible for a poor students like us”, said Lungkang Ering, one of the Law student and Convener of APU Students Council.
