Strengthening police public relation and welfare of the local population, the 186 Battalion CRPF based at GTC, Pasighat organized a 2 days girls football tournament at Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat playground on last Friday and Saturday on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat playground.

The tournament was organized under civic action program to promote sports among girls, informed Asst. Commandant,  Pradeep Kumar Yadav. Local MLA, Kaling Moyong, DIGP CRPF (OPS) Dibrugarh,  V.S Sharma, Chief Engineer, Project Brahmank, Raneghat/Pasighat, R.K Dhiman, VSM, S.P, East Siang District Pasighat, Prashant Priya Gautam and others attended the second-day final tournament.
Total of 5 teams from in and around Pasighat area was participated in the event. Final match was played between Siang Valley A v/s Rising Pasighat Club in Rising Pasighat won the tournament by 3-0 to Siang Valley A. Rising team outplayed Siang valley comfortably by netting 3 goals in row, but losing team couldn’t materialize any goals despite getting some golden chances. Various Football Kits were also distributed among the players and referees.
Earlier while opening the final match, a one minute silence was also observed paying tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama attack.  MLA Kaling Moyong, VS Sharma, DIGP CRPF, Dibrugarh and others spoke on the occasion and praised the sporting talents of girls’ opined hope that these girls will shine in the career of sports in near days.
