KGWST Organizes Plantation Programme at Tekang

While whole of Arunachal and rest of India are busy in hussle and tussle for party tickets in politics for ensuing simultaneous election on one hand and others deeply busy celebrating the festival of colour(Holi), the Kayi Gumín Welfare Society-Tekang (KGWST), a welfare society vide Regd. No SR/ITA/5796 organized a major plantation programme at Tekang Village few kilometers from at Pasighat on Thursday with the theme ‘make My Village Clean and Green’.

 

As a part of its committed activity, the KGWST organized this plantation for beautification of the village to make it green, clean and conducive to live and also to ease global warming to some extent, informed KGWST Vice President cum Publicity Secretary, Boyem Jerang. During the plantation programme as much as 50 different saplings provided by Pasighat forest division were planted on both sides of the village link road.

 

Taking the advantage of the gazetted holiday on account of Holi, the team of 23 members (maximum of which are govt. employees in different department/offices), headed by its President and Secretary General, Tapok Tamuk and Bajing Tayeng respectively carried out the plantation programme enthusiastically under the close monitoring and guidance of the KGWST Senior advisors namely, Taram Darang, Tameng Siram and Tatem Darang, informed Jerang further..

 

The KGWST had been committed to render welfare activities, free services whenever situation demands like establishment of General Burial ground at Tekang. As a gesture of help and solidarity the KGWST have also visited and donated relief materials to the 8 fire victims of Mongku village and 11 fire victims of Mangnang village during last December.

 

“As our society is a non-partisan and non-religious society, we are not concerned about the present political scenario, we are all set our minds to accomplish all our set goals and targets of welfare and free services to the society in particular and nation as a whole and our next mission is to organize a Blood Donation program as service to mankind is service to god. We will extend our all possible services whoever requires it”, added Boyem Jerang.
