Thunderstorm accompanied with squall and hail very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal Sikkim.

Thunderstorm accompanied with squall likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur Mizoram-Tripura and Odisha. Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds likely at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, north coastal Andhra Pradesh Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Squally weather with wind speed occasionally reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to prevail over Maldives — Lakshadweep area.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

Day 2 (15th April.): Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Kerala. Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds very likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura, West Bengal aned Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Day 3 (16th Apr.): Thunderstorm accompanied with squall and hail very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Thunderstorm accompanied with squall very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand.

Day 4 (17th Apr.): Thunderstorm accompanied with squall and hail likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Jammu and Kashmir.

Thunderstorm accompanied with squall likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland-Manipur Mizoram-Tripura. Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds very likely at isolated places over coastal Odisha.

Day 5 (18th Apr.): Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Thunderstorm accompanied with squall likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland-Manipur Mizoram-Tripura.

Weather Outlook for the subsequent 2 days (19th & 20th Apr. 2018):

A fresh western disturbance is likely to cause fairly widespread to widespread precipitation over Western Himalayan region (with isolated heavy falls over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh) and isolated rainfall over adjoining plains.

Fairly widespread rain/thundershower likely over northeast India. Isolated to scattered rain/thundershower likely over south peninsula. Dry weather likely over remaining parts of the country.
