Manipur has been no dearth of talents however the state is plagued with corruption; this was stated by Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

While speaking at ‘Yenningthagee Eshei’ (Spring Music Concert), organised by All India Radio, Imphal, Biren Singh suggested people of the state to take a proactive role in ending all forms of corruption.

“Present state government understands the mental stress endured by the parents and candidates who had appeared in the police recruitment conducted by the previous government,” Singh stated, “The present coalition government would declare the results of the examination as soon as it completes the reviewing of recruitment process.”

He further made earnest appeal to the people of Manipur not to encourage any form of corrupt practices in the coming days. “No fund for any developmental project would be released if photos of work progress are not uploaded regularly on the government website,” he pointed, adding, “Change should always begin from self.”

“We are also planning to construct a guest house in Mumbai, for which the land had already been acquired by the previous government,” disclosed CM.

State Works, IPR, Power, RD & PR and Commerce and Industry Minister, Th Biswajit while attending the function, stated “Radio is the best medium where the government can promote its activities and welfare schemes. Majority of the people still listen to radio as their primary source of information even though IT and social media have made remarkable progress.”
