The negotiations between the Centre and NSCN(I-M) remained inconclusive for the third time on Tuesday. The two sides are now likely to meet ahead of the October 31 deadline.

Sources said Nagaland Governor RN Ravi, who is also the Centre’s interlocutor, and a 15-member delegation led by NSCN(I-M) general secretary Th Muivah held a meeting to break the logjam. However, the meeting remained in conclusive, as the Centre refused to budge from its stand. The Naga group also continued to maintain its stand on separate flag and constitution, sources said.

Ravi also had a detailed discussion with the representatives of the Naga National Political Groups (NNPG). The meeting with the NNPG held this morning lasted for over two hours.

Sources said the meeting was crucial as the two sides ironed out the minor differences over the agreed positions, since both the Government of India and the NNPG have resolved all issues related to the peace talks.

The NNPG representatives will be camping in Delhi till October 31 and continue talks with the Government of India.

Meanwhile, the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) signed a ceasefire agreement with RN Ravi, Kamson Rongmei of ZUF told newsmen here on tuesday.
