Arunachal Minister Dasanglu Pul Meets Jitendra Singh, Seeks Support For Biodiversity Projects

Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul held a meeting with Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, in New Delhi to discuss key proposals aimed at enhancing biodiversity conservation and promoting bioeconomy in the state.

In a post shared on her official X handle on Saturday, Pul highlighted several initiatives discussed during the meeting. These include the establishment of the first Ex-Situ Germplasm Bank for rare and economically important plant species, and the creation of the Eastern Arunachal Regional Centre for Bioresource Management & Development.

The minister also proposed setting up a Bio-NEST Bioincubator at Roing to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. Additionally, she sought the urgent release of core grant support for the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS&T) to address staff-related challenges.

Pul expressed gratitude for Jitendra Singh’s positive response and support towards promoting scientific development and sustainable growth in Arunachal Pradesh.
