In a landmark initiative to promote sports and recreation in high-altitude regions, the Mukto Futsal Arena was inaugurated today at Serjong Village under the 3 Mukto Constituency. The project, executed by the Water Resources Department, Tawang, has been successfully completed at an altitude of 2,536 meters above mean sea level, making it one of the highest-altitude futsal grounds in the region.

The state-of-the-art arena features a FIFA-certified artificial turf, ensuring world-class playing conditions for the youth and sports enthusiasts of Mukto and neighboring villages.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, ADC Jang, Hakraso Kri, who performed the ribbon-cutting, alongside Guest of Honour, AC Mogto, Honjon Perme. The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries and officials including AE WRD Er. Kago Kani, JE Electrical Tashi Wangchu, OC Jang Papok Lego, as well as officials and staff from Jang and Mukto circles.

Adding excitement to the event, an exhibition futsal match was played between Team ADC (comprising government employees of Jang) and the Mogto Village Team. The friendly match, cheered by an enthusiastic crowd, ended with Team ADC securing a 7–4 victory.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC Jang Hakraso Kri emphasized the importance of sports in channelizing the energy of youth towards constructive activities and fostering community bonding. He also highlighted the need for a footpath to improve accessibility to the arena and assured administrative support through suitable schemes.

Mogto, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, officials, and villagers for their wholehearted participation.

The inauguration of the Mogto Futsal Arena not only marks the introduction of modern sports infrastructure in the constituency but also symbolizes the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and infrastructure growth in the high-altitude areas of Tawang.
