The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Seijosa, Sashi Dore, has launched three key citizen-centric services aimed at strengthening the fight against drug-related offences and improving public access to police services. The initiative highlights confidentiality, prompt response, and accountability as its core principles.
Under the new initiative, a dedicated 24×7 toll-free helpline (7085504595) has been introduced to allow citizens to report suspected cases of drug trafficking, possession, or related crimes. The system ensures anonymity for informants to encourage public participation in crime reporting.
In addition, residents can now file FIRs online and report lost mobile phones through WhatsApp, making the process faster and more convenient.
The SDPO also announced that police verification requests for employment, passports, or residential purposes can now be submitted through the same WhatsApp number, streamlining verification procedures.
The new services are expected to enhance coordination between the police and the community while reinforcing efforts to curb drug-related activities in the region.
