Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday ceremonially launched the Swagat Satirtha Portal 2.0 at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Guwahati, marking a key step towards simplifying the mutual transfer process for Grade III and Grade IV government employees.

The upgraded portal builds on the success of Swagat Satirtha version 1.0, under which 4,502 applications were approved, benefiting 9,004 employees across 32 government departments.

According to officials, Swagat Satirtha 2.0 is aimed at further strengthening transparency, accountability and ease of governance by making the transfer process more efficient and accessible, while bringing administrative services closer to the people.
