The Assam government has recovered Rs 7.5 crore from Haryana-based Kaluwala Construction Private Limited for alleged tax evasion linked to the construction of a four-lane road from Dhemaji in Assam to Oyan in Arunachal Pradesh.

A 12-member investigation team from Guwahati carried out a six-day inquiry into the company’s financial records following reports of tax irregularities.
