Four young men from Assam were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a rented room in Bengaluru on Friday, sparking concern among their families and communities back home.

The deceased have been identified as Nirendra Nath Taid, Dictor Taid, and Dhananjay Taid, residents of the Barkhamukh area in Dhakuakhana, Lakhimpur district, and Jayanta Chinte from Salmara. Sources said all four belonged to the Mising community and had traveled to Bengaluru in search of employment.

Police recovered a patient identification card from MVJ Medical College at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest food poisoning as a possible cause, though post-mortem reports are awaited for confirmation. The youths were reportedly employed at a Coca-Cola warehouse in the city.

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. The deaths have caused shock in their native villages in Lakhimpur district, where families are demanding swift answers.
