Agartala, October 13, 2025: In a grand tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through My Bharat, is organizing the historic Sardar@150 Unity March under the banner of “Ek Bharat AtmaNirbhar Bharat.” The nationwide initiative aims to instill patriotism, foster civic participation, and strengthen the spirit of unity among the youth.

Launched digitally on 6th October 2025 by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on the My Bharat portal, the campaign marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. The digital phase includes social media reel competitions, essay writing contests, and the Sardar@150 Young Leaders Program, where 150 selected youth will participate in a national walk.

Addressing a press conference at Secretariat in Agartala city on Monday noon, Tripura’s Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy said, “The Sardar@150 Unity March is not just an event—it is an emotion that connects every Indian with the ideals of national unity and self-reliance that Sardar Patel stood for. Through My Bharat, we are empowering youth to become torchbearers of a united, strong, and self-reliant India.”

He added, “In the spirit of Janbhagidari envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, this initiative brings together citizens from all walks of life—students, youth leaders, and social organizations—to walk hand in hand for the nation. It is a living tribute to the man who united India, reminding us that the nation’s strength lies in its unity.”

Routes have been finalized based on local feasibility — from Kailashahar to Unakoti Heritage in Unakoti district, Ambassa to Kulai in Dhalai, Khowai to Chebri, Ujjayanta to DDSSC, Badharghat in West district, Rastarmatha to Charilam in Sepahijala, Belonia College to Bharat Chandra Nagar Block in South district, and Dharmanagar Degree College to DM Office in North district.

During the march, participants will take part in activities such as Atmanirbhar Bharat Oath, Nesha Mukta Bharat Pledge, Swadeshi Mela, yoga sessions, cleanliness drives, essay and debate competitions, and cultural performances. The program will culminate in a 150 km National Padyatra from Karamsad, Sardar Patel’s birthplace, to the Statue of Unity at Kevadiya from November 26 to December 6, 2025.

District officials have been directed to ensure wide participation through awareness drives in schools, colleges, and public institutions. The event will serve as a symbol of harmony, determination, and India’s collective journey toward Ek Bharat, AtmaNirbhar Bharat.
