Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton conducted an inspection of flood-affected areas in Dimapur, Niuland, and Chümoukedima districts on Saturday. He met with residents and local officials to evaluate the damage and understand the challenges they face.
Patton expressed deep concern over the devastation caused by the floods and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with stakeholders to provide relief, restore normalcy, and enhance preparedness for future emergencies.
He also urged residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant and adhere to official advisories.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Phangnon Konyak, Advisors Tovihoto, A Panjung Jamir, Kazheto Kinimi, the Deputy Commissioners of the three districts, Dimapur Police Chief Kevithuto Sophie, Joint CEO of NSDMA Johnny Ruangmei, and IGP V Z Angami.
