Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday participated in the Rozgar Mela event held in Dimapur, where he distributed appointment letters to newly recruited candidates under the central government’s employment initiative.
Taking to his official X handle, Rijiju stated that over 51,000 appointment letters were distributed across the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Dimapur, a total of 107 appointment letters were handed over physically, while 239 were issued digitally via email with the support of the Lumding Division of the Northeast Frontier Railway.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, Member of Parliament Phangnon Konyak, Advisor Imkongmar, and other senior officials.
Rijiju described the occasion as “truly heartening,” adding that Rozgar Mela is not just about recruitment but a step towards nation-building. He encouraged the new recruits to take pride in their roles in contributing to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat.”
