Renowned social worker and educationist from Nagaland, Sano Vamuzo, has been conferred the prestigious 2025 Congress Quinquennial Human Rights Award by the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). The award recognises her exemplary Christian witness in the promotion of human rights and social justice.
She received the honour during the BWA Congress Quinquennial held in Brisbane, Australia, from 7 to 12 July.
Expressing gratitude, Vamuzo said the recognition has strengthened her resolve to stand with the unheard, bring peace where there is pain, and build bridges instead of walls.
The Naga People’s Front and Western Chakhesang Hoho have extended their congratulations to Sano Vamuzo for receiving this international recognition.
