Security forces on February 1 arrested two active cadres of the proscribed KCP (Taibanganba) from Happy Valley under Sagolmang Police Station in Imphal East district.

The arrested individuals were identified as Ayekpam Robindro Meitei alias Parihan (28) and Thokchom Abung Singh alias Lanchangba (23), both residents of Pukhao Naharup village in Imphal East district. Two Aadhaar cards were seized from their possession.

Meanwhile, security forces continued search operations and area domination in fringe and vulnerable areas across various districts of Manipur. A total of 114 nakas and checkpoints were set up in both hill and valley districts, during which no further detentions were reported.
