Agartala, February 2, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has welcomed the Union Budget 2026, calling it a “visionary blueprint” that sets India on course to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
In a social media post, Dr. Saha congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting what he described as the #ViksitBharatBudget, a 25-year plan aimed at inclusive and sustainable growth.
The Chief Minister noted that the Budget places strong focus on manufacturing, infrastructure, healthcare, tourism, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. He emphasized that targeted measures for rural development, women empowerment, youth aspirations, and farmer welfare would help translate aspirations into reality across the country.
Dr. Saha also highlighted provisions for modern sports facilities and the promotion of pilgrimage destinations, saying these initiatives would reinforce India’s path toward self-reliance and global competitiveness.
“The Union Budget 2026 reflects the Centre’s commitment to balanced development and inclusive progress, ensuring that every section of society benefits while positioning India as a leading global power,” Dr. Saha remarked.
